Quest Reward vs Buying Skills
I wanted to add Immolate to my skills list, is the only way to acquire it by purchasing it for skill points from a skills trainer, or is there a quest to earn it? Is there a list of skills that are NOT available as quest rewards, so I can just go buy them now?

Here's a list of skills that are available as quest rewards, so I guess you could just reference this before buying any skills.
The wiki page for Immolate specifically says that you can trade a hero skill point for it, but not until Gate of Torment. |

You can go to http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Main_Page . Type in Immolate and see if you can get it from a quest or not.
